Topics Covered in Truth Rising

A Christian worldview is a way of understanding reality through the truth of God’s Word. It shapes how we see human identity, purpose, morality, truth, freedom, family, justice, and the meaning of life itself.

At its core, a Christian worldview begins with the belief that God created the world with purpose and order, that every person is made in His image, and that truth is not invented by individuals or culture but revealed by God.

In Truth Rising, the idea of a Christian worldview is central to understanding the civilizational moment we are living in. The film explores what happens when a civilization cuts itself off from truth and replaces God with radical individualism. In a moment like this, Christians are called to respond with clarity, courage, and hope.

A “cultural Christian” is someone who identifies with Christianity because of family background, traditions, values, or social identity but whose faith does not meaningfully shape the way they live, think, or follow Christ.

They may attend church occasionally, celebrate Christian holidays, or appreciate Christian morals, yet Christianity remains more of a cultural label than a personal conviction.

In Truth Rising, it is discussed that many people in the West have grown up around Christianity while also absorbing the culture’s message that truth is subjective and faith should remain private. But Christianity was never meant to be merely cultural or passive. As followers of Christ, we are called to live with clarity, courage, and conviction in every area of life.

The Christian purpose of life is to know God, reflect His truth, and faithfully participate in His work of restoration in the world.

Christians believe we were not created by accident or merely to pursue comfort, success, or self-expression. We were created by God, and our
lives find meaning when we live in relationship with Him and align ourselves with His truth.

Today we see so many people searching for meaning in a culture built around radical individualism, yet still feel lost, anxious, or disconnected. Christianity offers something deeper: a purpose rooted not in self-definition, but in God’s design and calling.

This is why Truth Rising exists: Christians are called to live with courage, hope, and conviction in this moment of history. Every believer has a role to play in bringing truth and hope into the spheres in which God has placed them.
